Political Images

Looks like Emma is tired of it all and who can blame her with all the political rhetoric these days. I had two phone visits yesterday and it was a bit like reminiscing on the 'good' old days. Some of those days were filled with dread about what was going on in our small world as we managed to live through the depression, the wars that followed and the upheavel of issues that have yet to be resolved. Somewhere, within this time frame, greed in the name of global took over without a second thought to end results and today we are awakening to a different world. Like Pandora's box, we should have been much more careful of what we wished for. I remember 'the old day's' being long and slow, not realizing how quickly they were passing by and how much we didn't realize what was going on. We were far from sheltered yet to busy to realize we should be part of the solutions. Today I cannot keep up with the pace and my mind boggles at how fast time passes. So if you have been too busy to see and hear the news lately, here are a few political cartoons to bring you up to date.
He really is no Ronald Reagan, but he has chutzpah.
He must have excelled in math.
This is funny as Fox leads the way through the back door while all the others gloss over and rush for news of Charley Sheen or some other so called celebrity who has chosen to go down a path of destruction. I thought news was to enlighten us to truth rather than fiction. I wonder who will win top prize for reporting the truth, or does such a prize exist?
The 'change' man seems to be thriving in his new life style. So maybe the political cartoons are not all bad for us. Maybe, just maybe, there is a lot of truth in fiction. Maybe we should have one or more of the cartoonist run for office, afterall they are keeping up with the latest news from the politics in our nations capitol.

So today, Friday, aah!!!! A weekend coming up full of weather you don't like as the spring storms dump more snow in your area or more rain here in mine. A measure of nine inches of rain for us in a month, still no flooding as the rivers run very high. Our ocean is wild and strong with the white caps lifting way off near the horizon so there is no chance to spot a whale. Finish your priority to your priorities and plan a quiet weekend and catch up with yourself. Do something you have been wanting to do and smile while you do it. I am laughing, as I have no idea what each of you are plotting and planning, just make sure it is really truly good for you. Someone said "Laughter is the best medicine", so take a good dose and share it around. Hugs to all.
