Helpful Hints

Left over pizza, put it in your skillet, on top of the stove, on medium heat and let it warm up slowly and the crust stays crisp. That is if you have left over pizza. Fill your measuring cup with hot water before putting in your peanut butter or other such 'stuff' and watch how easily it comes out of the cup.

As for cheese, if you keep it wrapped up in foil it will keep longer .

I like the hint of taking left over candy bars, well some folks have left over candy bars, not me . . . and break them up over some peel and cored apples. Place them in a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for fifteen minutes and serve with vanilla ice cream. I might try that after lent is over with, sound pretty tasty to me.

Did you know that green peppers with three bumps are sweeter than those with four bumps. I didn't know that. I didn't even think a pepper had a bump.

Those of you who like to use your micro wave oven, know you can reheat biscuits, pancakes or muffins by placing a cup of water in with them as the increase moisture keeps them almost like new.

As for your foggy windshield, keep a chalkboard eraser in your glove box as it works much better than a cloth.

It is Sunday, a day of rest, but you can put some of these hints to work for you if you have a mind to. I don't have a car to try out the foggy windshield, but I do have a fruit fly now and then and I read that you have to put a small glass on your counter with 1/2 apple cider vinegar and two drops of dish washing liquid, mix well and voila, no more fruit flies. So it is never to late to live and learn. Enjoy your day off. If you have been feeling down, get up and go out doors even if you have to 'dance' in the rain. Or, if your mood is for staying in, be lazy and try out the living room couch, turn on the television and sleep through all the ads. Hugs to all.
